Ola familia!!!!!!
Hey whats hangen with you all!!! Gosh it sounds like there is just a tun of stuff going on back at home. Its is so cool that everyone is in Saint Johns:) It makes me so happy to hear from all yall. Hey lara thanks so much for the awsome pictures of your house that is so sick I am glad all is going well you you and the fam. Mom and dad I really hope the house goes through soon for you two so you can just move out of the house, it has jsut been insain.
But anyways This week was so stinkin fun! we had just a ton of success with our investigators progressing and what not. So this week I will try not to just ramble on for two pages about my investigators again:) ha ha So we have this investigator named hugo. He is about 25 years old and is probably one of the nices guys I have ever met. The problem with him for all the missionaries is he doesnt go to church. For this he was let go a few months before I had ever even gotten in the area. So we found him in our area book and we have visited him something like 6 times now and Just one week He finally walked into the church. My jaw had dropped to the floor and so did elder richter (our zone leader and also the person that droped him). It was such a mirical to have him finally get to church:) He loved I and had made so really good friends at the church.
So for p-day today we all went to go play soccer as usually but after me and my district leader decided to go on a division. So after soccer we went to a place called the bem fica art festival. At this art festival the sell all sorts of crafts, pantings, and status. As we started going in looking at all the stuff men would just come up to you and drag you to there stands, and would start to bargin with you. :) Ha ha ya being a big white man from the united states they saw a perfect oprotunity to "make a spare buck." You would start talking to them about what thing you wanted and about the priced. With out fail every one of them probably tripled the value of every thing that they had on the table. I have got to say this was a lot of fun just talking the guys down. I was able to get an african trible make for $40 when the starting price was at about $120:) ha ha Ya it was a tun of fun. In the end I ended up with the mask, a family of elephants(Including 6 figurins), a statue of an african hunter, and a had carved knife with the one of the angola simbles the thinker on the handle:) haha all in all It was just a blast talking those guys down in price.

0LA!!!!
Wow I didnt realize my email didnt get sent off last week... sorry I will tell you it was probably the better email of my mission:) haha jk. But really sorry the email didnt get sent, their must have been an erro com the internet when I sent it. but all is well. It sounds like things are about to nose dive into changes for all of you back home! that is so exciting! I will tell you that it will be so much fun to come home and to see all of the changes:) I am not even half way out and look what you people decided to do without me:) I am actually kind of gratfull in some ways because i wont have to hall all of the stupid food storage down the stairs into a truck... That dads job now:) ha ha
Because I "missed" last week I will give you the down low with what all happened. So last week I had gotten pretty sick with a fever. My tempeture had shotten up to about 101.8 when I had checked it finally. I had been ignoring the simptoms the first few days because i just wanted to keep going but finally I was just have a horrible head ache and president and sister tompson had seen me at our branch and told me to get some rest. When I got home that night my tempiture had shot up to 101.8:) ha ha ya that sucked. But My companion had some awsome soup and I jumped into bed and by the next morning my tempiture was back to normal:) thank goodness for the Waglands and their kindness to give me some chicken nood soup. They rock! This past week I also tried to tell you about the baptism that we had on satarday:) But I will tell you a little bit more about that a little latter. But last week was an amazing week with tons of work to do. The difference between our area now and what it was is just amazing. The beginning we only had about 6 houses to get viset and half were members. Now from what me and my companion had figured out we have 17 houses of investigators that we need to go viset and another 15 members that are less actives to go viset. Ya our area is just booming now:) It make me so happy. There really isnt much time to viset everyone anymore. it is so awesome. It really has helped make the time just fly by.
But is what happened this week was just awesome because we finally got to see a person get baptised! So The guys names in Edvanio. He is about 20 years old and just has the biggest heart I have ever seen:) The day that he was baptised in all of luanda we have about 16 people getting baptised!! It was so crazy they have never seen that many here in one week before:) This place is really starting to boom with excitment. But anyways There is only one baptismal fount in all of the branches so we all had our services together. It was so big that we couldnt fit everybody inside of the baptismal room that we have do go up stairs to the chaple to here the talks and what not. I freakin loved it so much:) Probably one of the best things I have seen on my mission was all of those people dressed in white and supper excited to make a covinent with God. WOW!!! Then the next day When edvanio recieved the gift of the holy ghost 5 other people recieved it as well. It has been an amazing few days.:) I went and talked to him after and He just looked at me and said he has never been so happy in his life... just such a powerful experience to have had the opprotunity to teach him.
In another two weeks on the 6th we have a baptismal date with a 25 year old man named eskinder. Eskinder if from ethiopia so he doesnt speak portugese very well. All of the lessons with him have been in english. Which is really wiered to do now, a lot of time a portugese word will just pop out haha. He is probably one of the most prepared people I have ever seen. His love for the savior goes beound words. And with that love come his love for his family which is still in ethiopia. He is here in angola working for a company, but he just sends all of his money home to his family to suport them. It is just trully amazing to see the spirit work with him to help him understand all the principles of the gosple.
We have a few other investigators that are just amazing ones name is Hipolito. He is about 26 and probably one of the strongest both phisically and spiritually that I have ever seen! He has already read all of the bible so he knows a lot about religion. And he is super excited to be reading from another book of scripture to. This week we had a discusion about the plan of salvation, and after we had gotten done he just looked at us and he said wow during this lesson I felt and amazing urge to continue studing with you. After which he gave us the three days of the week he would like to study with us and all the times:) ha ha Ya he is just such an amazing guy.
Sorry I feel like I have jsut been blabing on about my investigators:) ha ha Anyways I love you all so much and it is always amazing to here from you all:) TEM UMA BOA SEMANA!!!!!!!

Ola minha familia!!!!
Hey everyone whats hanggin!!!! KIRSTEN!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE HAVE THE BABY RIGHT KNOW AS WE SPEAK!!!!! THATS SOOO COOOL and kind of wierd to think about at the same time:) super excited to meet her in a year and a half! and you wonderful parents of mine that are moving I feel like the same thing that happened in RM is happening to me:) parents moving selling the truck! What next... are you going to get a forein exchange student from tonga!!! If so that would be pretty cool:)
So this week has been just an awesome week. Kind of another short one because of a few things. First there was another 70 that came and talked with us. This time it was for the missionaries themselves. So we did an all day training and at the end we all were able to have an interview with him! It was really cool! Pretty much was just seeing how all the missionaries are doing.
So do you remember that woman I told you about 2 weeks ago. She is still doing great but this week she gave us 2 references. The first was pretty much the rest of her family which like included a billion people in it that are probably some of the funnest people I have ever met. They reminded me a lot of all of my wonderful sisters:) And the other reference was her niebhoors who were asking about us. That family was a family of 6 including a mother and father (who are married!!!!) 2 sons and 2 dauters all just a little bit older in age as in 16 to 25! It was so awesome to get these two families. Even if the woman with the child doesnt work out she still has done so much to help the missionaries. It just kind of spider webbed out:)
By the way mom and dad I got my camera today so I will finally be able to take pictures!!!! finally:) So in the next month or so I will try and send some pictures back to you wonderful people:) By the way you all gotta let me know did they really make another Lé Mis movie! If so that is so sick! ha ah anyways I freaking love you all so much and I hope you have a wonderful week:) good luck Kirsty!!!!!

bom dia!!!!!
Hey fam. sounds like mom and dad are just haveing the time of their life down there in mexico. what punks right!! ha ha Sounds like kirsty could burst any day and when that happens happy uncle ralphy will have to wait about a year and a half to see her!!! It wierd to think that I will be going back to a new member in the family.
So this week has been different to say the least. So this week in angola they finally had there elections. It was last thursday or so, but these elections only happen every 5 or 6 years. So for them this is a big deal. Unluckly for the missionaries that means that we had some restrictions on how late we could prosilite and things like that. So two days before elections and two days after we had to arrive in our house at 6 pm This was kind of a bummer to find out but then we found out that the day of elections we werent aloud to leave our house, or in our case that chaple.The other four days it was easy we just switch our days around and did our studies latter and went and visited peaple in the morning. But the day of elections we did our studies and had a tun of time left. Soooooo we decided to have a barbaque:) ha ha the day before we bought a huge box of ribs and some coals. We mad ourselves a little stove by getting two sinderbloxs and the grill inside our oven:) That I why I am happy I am living in the cassquell chaple so that we would actually walk out side but allso for the 10 ft tall wall suronding that chaple ha ha. It was a pretty good time.
Elections effected some other things to, including church.... So this week we invited about 15 people and every single one of them said "sim sim vou vou." We expected to just have a great turn out with people at church. When we walked into the chaple guess how many of them should up..... the big gouse egg!!!!! 0..... To say the least It was a little disceriging. But church ended up to be really good though. We had an area 70 come and we got to hear from him while we were in sacrament and preistood meeting. At the end he told said he wanted to talk to all of the missionaries. He gave us some amazing words of inspiration during it this big old guy named elder wilhelm started to tear up:) It really gave me more hope to continue out the day. It felt as if he was talking to me personally... It was jsut what i needed. It is always just so interesting how the lord will answer your prayers through others.:)

Ola bom dia familia!!!
Hey family!!! I love hearing from all of you and thank you so much mom and dad for the bragging about diving and what not. What a couple of jerks:)
So this we was loads better than last week. We have seen so much more progression with some of our investigators. FFFIINNNAAALLLYYYY!!!!! In responce to your question mom (do we have baptisms every week). No. As much as I love the people here some of them are more hard headed than a cow who doesnt want to come out the hay field. ha ha. As a mission yes we do see baptisms every week, which is just awesome!!!
I will admite part of it is probably to the fact that Elder kearney and I havent been speeking the language as long as everybody else. We are probably the youngest dupla on the mission right now. But because of that same thing we have probably grown more in this one transfer than we did in every other transfer. Taking two things into mind especially. The first being the language and the second being in a brand new area where there where hardly any investigators for us to start off with. I can see it in Elder Kearney and I that.... We are pretty much awesome! :) I have improved so much more language wise and so has Elder Kearney.
So this week we got to go to an orfanige as a district service project. It was so freakin fun to go and sing and play with all of them!!! Half way though we all went out side and played a game called garrafinha. Which include a ball and two 1leter bottles:) I will teach you all how to play it in about a year and a half, after I finish my sisters mission:) ha ha We also met this kid that was about 16 years old that can draw some of the most amazing things I have ever seen! So the next time we go there I will probably buy one from him. This will start being a weekly thing for us so we are so excited:) Now we will start teaching all the kids things like hinos and things like that.
Yestarday I think we found one of the most humbled people I have ever seen in my life. So after church yestarday we went over to our districts leader house for lunch because we didnt want to go all the way back to our house. So we got to talking and he had recieved a contact in our area so he past it off to us and we gave her a call. On the phone we could hear a baby crying in the backround and she sounded pretty tired. She said we could go over so we headed over to her house to just go get to know her. We got there and we she open the door we saw this little room about 8 ft by 8ft with a tin roof, she had the baby in her arms that was still crying. She invited us in and just as we were walking into her casa we saw her leg that was deformed so she walked with a pretty bad limp. The moment we started speaking the baby got quiet and went to sleep. We got to know a little bit about her background with religion and with life. She had had the baby a month ago and her husband had left her and the baby about a week ago. She was worried lonly and scared. Then we started to talk about Jesus Christ. The spirit fludded into the room as we talked about the gosple of Jesus Christ and how in can fill that void of lonliness. It was just absolutly amazing.
Well hey fam I love you so much and I hope you all a wonderful week without our lazy parents out in cozemel:)

HHHEEELLLLOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey fam whats up?!!!! Holy cow i totally for got how much time karen and sean have left! that is so crazy!!! Gosh they are going to be home before you know it! Elder Sean Bast has less weeks than i have months! :) wow that is just so crazy to think about. And karen only has just a few months left herself. wow that is just crazy.
Sounds like everything is going good back home with all you wonderful folk. Now that summer is over and it is back to school what are you all going to do? Time has just flown by. I just cant believe it!
So this week has been an interesting week for us. It just seemed that everything was turning against us in a way. Hopfully before the end of this week we will be able to have a few meetings with the president of the branch to trying and get some more support from the branch. ha ha ya we will be kind of busy this week:) I like being busy or else I just go crazy.
