Ola querida familia!!!
Hey y'all!!! Thank you so much for all of the emails! I just get so excited to hear from all of you. You guys rock so much:) Good luck with the new calling mom and dad!! I am so jealous that you get to go to the temple so often now:) You guys will do great!!!
This week went by so fast it was just amazing. OH GUESS WHAT? WE HAD TRANSFERS THIS WEEK!!!!! After almost 6 months and 4 transfers together, Mariquele and I will be separated.... He will stay here in Benfica with elder Hyde as AP's, and I will go down to Lubango to hopefully serve there until I die:) I will be serving with elder Wilson, as zone leaders, for the Lubango zone. Oh man, I am so excited to go down there!!!
So for these transfers, Mariquele and I pretty much knew that we were going to be separated because we have been together for so long, but we didn't know who would leave first, so we decided to have a little fun with it and make it more of a game:) On Tuesday, we were talking about it and made a bet.... the person to leave first would get a free pizza from the other person:) and to make it worse, the person that stayed could not buy a pizza for himself and watch the other person eat:) Ha ha, after we played soccer today, I got that pizza, but I had mercy on Mariquele and let him get a pizza for himself and bought him ice cream:) ha ha
I will miss serving with Elder Mariquele and president so much! I learned so much from them. Elder Hyde has some pretty small shoes to fill so he will do a great job:)
Anyways, sorry I didn't really get to explain a whole lot more about this week, we are kind of in a rush:) Love you all. Have a great week!!!

Dear whoever is Reading,
Hey!!! Thank you so much for all of the emails!! You are all so awesome. I will warn you today I don't have a whole lot of time, so I will write really fast. so the spelling and grammar is going to be a lot worse than usual:)
So our week went amazing!!! I learned a lot this past week. On Tuesday I went on a division with my district leader to go and get an interview for one of our investigators, sadly didn't pass... but as I was sitting there I was trying to figure out what we were going to teach that night to Maria and Abrantes family. We have taught them everything and we are just trying so hard to get Abrantes to start coming to church with the rest of his family. So I was sitting there contemplating when one of the little kids in the house started to make noise so I started to play with him a little so there wouldn't be any distraction during the interview. A really funny thought popped into my head " ask Lukas (the child) what you should teach" so I laughed at the thought and turned to the child and ask "so tonight we are going to teach this family and I don't know what I should teach... what do you think we should teach?" He stared at me thinking and said, "I don't know," then he took off in to the other room to do something. Then he came running back to me and said, "why don't you tell them about Jesus and how he is the savior and how he will save us":) há há! It was so cute, and then I got to thinking "shee this kid is right!!"
After the interview we went strait to Maria's and Abrantes house and taught them a lesson on the atonement of Jesus Christ. It was one of the best experiences that I had teaching somebody about that. The spirit was so strong and it helped Abrantes to have a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ and his church. Just goes to show that you can get advise even from a little child:) haha
The rest of our week was awesome! On Tuesday and Wednesday, Mariquele and I also translated for 2 people that came up to give training to the office elder that don't speak English. The office elder, Abdo, is an old military man that does not like to be controlled and does not like to have to work through other people. So Abdo preferred to use the little English he had to communicate what was going on. há há It turned more into a game of charades:) So when they couldn't understand each other, they look at us for help:) há há! It was a lot of fun
Anyways, love you all!!! Have a great week!!!!

Ola família!!!!
Hey everyone!!! thanks for your letters this week:) They really helped me out a lot. Thanks for all of your help mom dad and Karen with finding a job! You guys are so amazing for helping me out!!! It sounds like your are all a staying way busy too.
Well our week went way fast. Mariquele and I only had like 2 days to work in our área this week, but we did get to go down to Lubango with presidente and his wife for half of the week.
Luckily this time we didn't have to take the stupid bus again:) President was so gracious to let us tag along with him and sister on the airplane!!! Boy, on the airplane there aren't chickens or crying children, and there was air conditioning:) há há ya man that was so sick!! há há
While we were there we had a little zone conference. It was so awesome!!! As soon as we all sat down and the zone leaders started to announce the program, the light went out... So what did we do? Well, a show must go on, so we got in a circle and, using presidentes and sisters lights on their iphones and ipads, we had our conference:) There were times in the conference that I would look up and I couldn't see the faces of the elders, but, because of their voice, we could tell who was speaking:) Ya, it was really sweet!!! Honestly one of the best meetings that I have seen!
I don't know if I have ever written about this, but in Lubango there is a tribe called the mumhilan tribe. When you think of tribal people from Africa, these are the people that you are thinking of down to the clothing which is none existente. há há! So, while I was on a division with elder Brown were were trying to make some contacts and we weren't finding a whole lot of people. As we were coming up the street there were three mumhilan woman in all of their glory just chilling on the side walk:) há há so very tactfully we turned around and went back where we came from. há há
Anyways I love you all so much and wish you all a great week!!!!

Dear family,
Howdy y'all!!! Thank you all so much for all of the letters and all of the bragging of general conference. I hope it went amazing!!! We did get to see a part too:) I hope all goes well with all of the training dad!! I know you will do great!!!
Anyways, my mission is going absolutely amazing!!! I love being here and just talking with the people!!! This week Mariquele and I got to do a lot more missionary work than normal and it was great:) We were able to find some really cool people and talk to a lot more in our área.
This weekend the presidente invited all of the missionaries to go to his house and watch the Sunday sessions of general conference:) Oh boy, it was so much fun!!! We all went to their house at 5 pm so that we could live stream it onto the Merrill's computer which we hooked up to their tv. It was a little crammed in their home, but we made it work. During the 2 hour break we had dinner that was made by all of us.(All of us brought a dish of food per house) And boy do we have some good cooks here in the mission:) há há! By the the time conference was all done it was around 11 at night. Yes, I will admit I did fall asleep a little:) I am just glad I didn't for too long for fear of snoring:) All of the elders stayed over at presidentes house, the mission office, and at our house. It was sure a blast to hang out with all of the elders.
This morning we all went out to the beach and just played in the sand, playing football and what not:) It was way fun! it is so funny to be able to fit your whole mission into three cars driven by presidente, sister, and myself. há há
This week we had another division with elder Domingos, a mozambican, and elder Chatwin. I got to walk with the black guy:) Elder Domingos is a new elder here in the mission. He got here like 2 months ago, but he doesn't have to learn another language so he is already running on all 4 cylinders. We had a great time teaching together. I always learn so much when I go on divisions!
Anyways sorry I didn't give a whole lot of info, but its all I got:) I love you all so much!!!
